About Kimana

Kimana Bowen joined Zashin & Rich in 2023. Kimana represents employers in all aspects of labor and employment law. She regularly advises employers on discrimination matters, claims of wrongful discharge and all other employment related claims.

As a DMV native, Kimana graduated from Virginia Commonwealth University. While at VCU, Kimana studied a semester abroad in Melbourne, Australia at La Trobe University where she took law classes as an undergraduate. She later earned her law degree from Cleveland State University and graduated Cum Laude. While in law school, Kimana participated in the Transactional Law Clinic and performed legal work for a nonprofit in Northern Ohio focusing on organizational policies.

During law school, Kimana also worked as the Corresponding Secretary and the Social Justice and Racial Equity Committee Chair for the Black Law Student Association. She also competed in the New York City Bar's 73rd National Moot Court Competition where Kimana and her teammate were Semi-Finalists and won 3rd Best Brief at the Regional Competition. Kimana also worked as a Research Assistant on the Space Law Research Council.

In her free time, Kimana loves DIY projects and crafts like woodworking and crocheting. She also loves to travel.
